Nestled in the trees overlooking the pristine, glacier fed waters of Halibut Cove, Quiet Place offers just the right balance of serenity, activity and just plain fun. There are no cars or roads in this community of artists, fishermen and craftsmen. Modern homes and tiny cabins perch on cliffs and boardwalks. The scenery and abundant wildlife are rivaled only by the warmth of the local residents.

Travel on board the M/V Danny J ferry six miles across Kachemak Bay to Quiet Place. Watch for whales as you pass the Gull Island Bird Rookery known for its population of murres, kittiwakes, gulls and puffins. Daily departures from Homer are at Noon.

Upon your arrival in Halibut Cove, you'll be met by hosts Pauli and Harmon Hall who will take you by skiff to the lodge where you can grab a cookie and settle into your own private cabin.

From your deck watch seals and otters play in the water, while eagles soar overhead. Don't forget your binoculars and a camera. This is a photographer's paradise.
